EASTER SUNDAY SERVICE, March 31, 2024, at 10am: In John 10:18 Jesus spoke of His life. He said, “No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.” And, indeed, Jesus took up His life up again when He rose from the dead. Join us on Easter Sunday as we celebrate Jesus rising from the dead. Because of Jesus’ victory over the grave, we, his followers, can say, “But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 15:57)

We are now in one of the most important yearly seasons of the church, the season of Lent. Lent is a time to prepare your heart for a renewed experience with Jesus. It is a time to remember that we are totally dependent on the mercy of God through Jesus, a time to repent to make sure Jesus is on the throne of your heart. Lent begins with Ash Wednesday and culminates with Good Friday and Easter. On Good Friday we focus on how Jesus suffered and died on our behalf; Jesus said that no one will take his life, but that he is laying it down (John 10:18). On Easter we celebrate Jesus’ resurrection, His victory over death; because Jesus conquered death, those who have faith in Him will also rise again. God bless you!
