What is GriefShare?
A GriefShare support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Through this 13-week group, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what’s “normal” in grief. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability—and gain solid support each step of the way.
Along the way there will be great opportunities for meeting new friends and healing together. We want you to have the opportunity to have others walk with you on the grief journey.
But really, what’s it about?
- People meeting together;
- People learning together;
- People supporting one another;
Who is GriefShare for?
It’s for anyone grieving the death of a loved one, like a spouse, child, parent, sibling, or close friend. It is for those experiencing the bad side effects of grief, including
- Wounded Relationships;
- Lack of Hope.
What happens at GriefShare?
GriefShare is designed around three parts which all work together to help group members get on the track of healing. Watching a 30-minute video, discussing the video concepts as well as our real-life challenges, and going through the workbook reflection exercises at home between our group meetings … All these experiences contribute to our growth and healing.
When and Where?
The next GriefShare series will begin January 30, 2024, at 7:00 PM, at the church. (The church is at 12 S 7th Ave, Saint Charles, IL 60174. The Blue Room is the eastern room on the 2nd floor. Enter through east door of the church. Walk upstairs to the Blue Room.)
